PAINTINGS, DRAWINGS AND OTHER BITS & BOBS
My name is Jemma, and I am the artist behind 4 J’s Art.
I had a love of art from a very young age and intended to make that my career path. However, things didn’t turn out that way and my career took me down a different path entirely. This meant that my working in art took a back seat for over 10 years. A project at work helped me rediscover my passion; I picked up the pencils and brushes again. During lockdown, drawing and painting gave me a creative outlet which led to me forming 4 J’s Art.
The name 4 J’s Art comes from my family; myself, my partner and my 2 children, all with the first initial ‘J’.
I create two different styles of artwork with the use of charcoals or watercolours. I enjoy making colourful creations but also love the detail I can create with the charcoals. Predominately, the subject of my paintings are animals/pets, but I have been open to trying a bit of everything… including a giraffe holding balloons inside a jeep! I enjoy an unusual commission now and then to keep things interesting.
I have printed a selection of my artwork onto mugs, coasters, magnets, keyrings and other home/giftware which are available to buy directly.
