AK Bell
Library
The AK Bell Library is the main public library for Perth and Kinross. The historic building on Perth’s York Place was originally a hospital, opened in 1838, before becoming a municipal building and later the AK Bell Library. The library has a wealth of resources, including family history, archives, a theatre and fantastic library facilities.
This bright building is a great place to relax, read, complete a jigsaw or learn about the history and culture of Perthshire. There are also free public computers and Hublets available to use, or why not enjoy the Wi-Fi throughout the building?
The Maker_Space on the first floor has an extensive range of creative technology available and free to use for community groups, creatives, businesses, and individuals.
The Children’s Library is where younger visitors can find books for all ages and enjoy Bookbug and Storytelling sessions.
A selection of gifts, cards, and stationery is also available from the library pop-up shop.
