AWARD WINNING WEEKLY SCIENCE CLASSES
I took over Mini Professors Dundee & Perth a year ago. I was previously a secondary school Chemistry teacher (fully qualified and working in the classroom for 8 years), it was a job which I absolutely loved but which wasn't flexible enough for my family life.
Mini Professors is my dream job, I still get to teach science but now it is for the sole purpose of the children having fun and being curious - no exams to prep for!
Mini Professors is an award-winning science programme, inspiring a new generation through interactive classes in schools, nurseries and in weekly parent and child classes.
Every week we explore a different scientific topic such as space, crystals or bubbles - you could attend for 2 years and never encounter the same topic twice. The classes include experiments, activities, stories and teaching moments where we use interesting props to keep the Mini Professor's engaged!
At Mini Professors all of the experiments and activities allow the kids to get fully hands on, involved. It's not just a whizz, pop, bang demonstration style class (although we do love a WOW demonstration too!).
The classes are approximately 40-45 minutes long, involving a variety of short activities so that your Mini Professor will always be kept busy and engrossed in what they are doing. There is nothing else like us in the area! Our science classes aim to teach science in a fun but simple way, while always using correct scientific terminology.
We believe that science is for everyone, and children make the best scientists! Children are naturally curious, very open-minded, have amazing imaginations and love exploring new things.
At Mini Professors, we not only teach little ones science, we help to nurture and develop thinking skills, social skills, motor skills, the ability to ask and answer questions, confidence and so much more.
You get to spend quality time with your child, encouraging them to discover and explore the wonders of science. You might even learn something too!
