Perthshire Abandoned Dogs Society, known as PADS, has been rehoming dogs since 1990. In those 30+ years, we estimate to have rehomed over 8000 dogs!
The charity’s Forteviot kennels provides safety, warmth and love for all the dogs that arrive at the centre.
All the dogs are seen by a vet, provided with any other medical treatments they might require and wherever necessary are vaccinated, neutered and micro-chipped.
PADS are about ensuring all the dogs go to the best homes possible. The kennel staff are passionate about dogs and are keen to promote good nutrition, quality stimulation, exercise, and force free training techniques.
We are a registered charity. The cost of running the kennels has risen to between £80,000 and £90,000 a year, money which is raised by donations, legacies, the sale of dogs to new homes and PADS own fundraising efforts.
