Loch Earn - St Fillans
So, you have done the city (Perth!) and are looking for a change of scenery. Why not head to the local National Park, The Trossachs – less than an hour from Perth and immerse yourself in health, wellbeing and nature!
St Fillans sits on the eastern most edge of The Trossachs National Park and on the shores of Loch Earn. There, if you are starting out on your challenge of being a “Bagger”, you have Ben Vorlich and Ben Halton on the doorstep.
Perhaps two wheels is more your thing in which case cycle gravel routes run from Comrie to St Fillans and Lochearnhead, right at the back of The Four Seasons Hotel.
The Four Seasons provides a welcome interlude for any outdoor pursuit be it hiking, biking, kayaking, or paddleboarding, and at any time of year. Park up the bike or the car, off load the dog and the boots and when you are finished pop into Seasons Snug bar with the pooch and where you are guaranteed a “Warm Welcome”
With unrivalled views the length of Loch Earn, it takes all but a few minutes to relax and unwind. Watch the ever-morphing sky and cloud formations and depending on the time of day, some of the stunning sunsets that Loch Earn enjoys.
Open for delicious cakes and scones, Seasons Snug bar is gaining quite a reputation for its giant fruit scones, served with Devon clotted cream and a choice of preserves. And at this time of year, served with a hot chocolate beside the fire, what more could you want!
In these challenging times, The Four Seasons Hotel is providing a “Warm Welcome Space” to those who wish to take advantage of a seat beside the fire and enjoy the views of nature on our doorstep. Here, you can have a pot of coffee, chat to a few strangers, delve into one of our library books or challenge someone to a game of dominos or Othello!
We look forward to welcoming you.
Best wishes,
Susan and the team
P.S. And before we forget, if the 60s & 70s were your era or you just like the classics, visit us and get a selfie at one of the Beatles' chalets!
